IMPORTANT CHANGES TO '26-'27 SEASON REGISTRATION FORMAT - NO RAFFLE TICKETS

As we prepare for the upcoming season, we want to make you aware of an important update to our registration process.

To help offset rising operational costs, this year's registration will no longer include raffle tickets as part of the standard fee. Removing the mandatory raffle component allows us to simplify registration and ensure families have a clear understanding of the cost of participation.

We also recognize that this change affects the upfront cost for families. To support flexibility and affordability, RWAHA is introducing a new optional six-payment plan for the 2026–2027 season.

If you choose the optional payment plan:

  1. Your first payment will be collected on the day you complete registration.
  2. The remaining five payments will automatically process on the 1st of each month, beginning October 1 and continuing through February 1, which will be the final payment.
  3. Financial Aid/Scholarships are available. See below for more information.

This structure provides a predictable schedule and helps reduce the immediate financial burden while still supporting the Association's operational needs.

As a Board, we remain committed to continuing to explore opportunities to reduce the overall financial burden on families and ensure that every family has the opportunity to participate in the game of hockey. We understand the importance of keeping youth hockey accessible and will continue evaluating ways to balance affordability with the resources needed to provide a positive experience for our players.

Thank you for your continued support of Red Wing Hockey. We look forward to a great season ahead.

Frequently Asked Questions

Q: I would like to request my skater be "moved up" a level. i.e. Mite to Squirt

A: You MUST register your player at the age level they are currently eligible for. After registering at their current age level, please see the "Move Up Request" form at the link below. Complete the form and email it to board.rwaha@gmail.com or turn it in to the BOD/Coaching Committee Chair for review. Move up requests are not determined until tryouts/season start. This allows for all season registrations to be received and all factors to be reviewed. Upon receipt and review, the Coaching Committee will make a recommendation to the BOD, who will vote on the move-up request and contact you with the determination.

Q: I'm trying to register my skater for the grade level they are in but their birthday falls outside of the MN Hockey age brackets. What do I do?
